
Swedish actress Josefin Asplund was born and raised in Stockholm. She is of Swedish and Polish ancestry. Asplund is most recognized for her roles as Pernilla Blomkvist in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Astrid in the History Channel series Vikings (2011). She portrays one of the main characters in the 2015 movie based on the bestselling Swedish book The Circle.
At age six, she began performing at a nearby community theater. From 2007 to 2010, Asplund studied at Stockholm, Sweden’s Södra Latins Gymnasium (Southern Latin secondary school). She took acting classes. In 2009, she also attended Calle Flygares Teaterskola for courses.
She was born on October 15, 1991 and is 31 years now.
