The Redskins have promoted rookie tackle Tom Compton to their 53-man roster after the South Dakota product spent the first 13 weeks of the season on the practice squad. Selected in the sixth round of this April’s draft, Compton worked primarily at left tackle during the preseason and started the final preseason game.
